Network Architect

Looking to join one of Australia’s most unique federal government departments? This department helps to make life of all Australians better and is looking for a Network Architect
 
Working in Melbourne office, you will be involved in enterprise level network architecture for a large scale transition program.
 
Aside from the above you will be responsible for
 

• Partner with vendors and MSP on network architecture
• Documentation of project artifacts
• Supporting the implementation phase of the program
• Ensuring compliance to internal frameworks / posture
• Providing technical expertise and input

 
This role is working with a federal government department so Australian citizenship is mandatory due to security requirements.
 
We are keen to speak with candidates that can demonstrate:
 

• 10 years experience in network architecture
• Hybrid cloud / on premise architecture
• Software defined network experience
• Palo Alto, Checkpoint or similar  Firewall knowledge
• Proxies, load balancers and performance application management
• F5, Bluecoat or similar expertise
• Large enterprise or government background

 
On offer to the successful candidate will be a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months with daily rates up to $1300 per day.
 
This role is based in Melbourne and has a 2 day work from home arrangement.
