u&u Recruitment Partners is excited to partner with Container Exchange (COEX) to recruit seven newly created Network Lead positions. Container Exchange is appointed by the Queensland government to manage and grow Queensland's container refund scheme - Containers for Change.

Since the launch of the scheme in November 2018, Container Exchange has overseen the creation of significant and meaningful change for the people of Queensland. Container Exchange is proud to be tasked with delivering a state-based scheme that continues to deliver positive social, environmental and economic impacts across the state. Their not-for-profit status drives investment where it matters to ensure all Queenslanders can access the benefits Containers for Change brings to individuals, charities, community groups and social enterprises across the state.

The role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Network Lead team are part of the network delivery area of COEX and the primary focus of ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Containers for Change network within a specific geographic region.

More specifically, you will be involved in the following:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with operators to optimize performance, maximize customer satisfaction and promote environmentally responsible practices;
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant compliance standards and regulations;
  • Conducting a regular network visitation plan to conduct monthly and quarterly operator reviews and site audits;
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOP's) and safety management systems to mitigate risks;
  • Taking ownership and resolving incident reporting processes and complaint handing in a timely manner;
  • Implementing process improvement initiatives to control network costs and improve customer experience and satisfaction;
  • Working closely with operators to maximise recovery rates and identify opportunities for growth; and
  • Completing all administration and reporting duties.

What we are looking for?

  • Confident and genuine communication and interpersonal skills with the maturity to engage with a broad range of stakeholders;
  • Prior experience overseeing multi-site operations and safety processes;
  • Strong customer service focus, coupled with well-developed problem-solving skills;
  • Strong planning and time management skills;
  • Reliable and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and
  • A valid QLD driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
