About the Role


We are seeking experienced Mental Health Registered Nurses to join Mental Health Triage & Acute Assessment Teams (MHAT) across the Northern Territory. These roles provide the opportunity to work with individuals experiencing acute mental health presentations while supporting recovery-focused care within community and hospital settings.


Key responsibilities



  • Conduct comprehensive mental health triage and acute assessments.

  • Provide crisis intervention, clinical assessments, and recovery-focused care.

  • Manage an allocated caseload using evidence-based mental health practices.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individual care plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate high-quality, holistic care.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with organisational policies and best-practice standards.

What you'll need



  • Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse Division 1).

  • Minimum 2 years' post-graduate Mental Health nursing experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in Mental Health Triage and Acute Assessment.

  • Experience providing recovery-oriented care and case management.

  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

  • Current Australian working rights.


Due to the urgent commencement of these contracts, visa sponsorship is not available.
