Job Description

This role will take ownership of hands-on technical delivery across a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation. You will design, develop and support Business Central solutions, translating business and functional requirements into robust technical outcomes across extensions, integrations and core implementation activity.

Working within the implementation team, you will partner with functional consultants, solution architects and business stakeholders to shape practical solutions and keep delivery moving. The role requires someone comfortable operating with autonomy, contributing to technical decisions and moving between design, build, testing, deployment and support.

Beyond individual development tasks, this position offers the chance to influence the quality, scalability and long-term maintainability of a new Business Central environment. You will contribute to standards, technical documentation and solution reliability while supporting the platform through go-live and post-deployment activity.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions


• Build Business Central extensions and functionality using AL


• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and outcomes


• Develop integrations between Business Central and external systems


• Support data migration, interfaces and implementation technical components


• Troubleshoot complex issues and identify sustainable technical solutions


• Optimise Business Central performance where required


• Contribute to technical design, development standards and architecture input


• Support testing, defect resolution, deployment and release activity


• Produce documentation covering development, integrations and solution design

Candidate Profile

You bring strong commercial experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with significant hands-on capability in AL development and extension-based customisation. You have worked on Business Central implementations and understand how to build technical solutions that are practical, maintainable and aligned to functional requirements.

You are comfortable engaging across technical, functional and business stakeholders, with the communication skills to clarify requirements, explain options and contribute to delivery decisions. You can operate across design, development, integration, testing and deployment without needing heavy direction.

You are a senior, hands-on Business Central specialist who looks beyond individual development tickets. Experience with integrations, data migration, performance optimisation, APIs, Azure, Power Platform, .NET/C#, SQL, DevOps, automated testing or previous Dynamics NAV environments will be highly regarded but is not mandatory.
