Overview

A hands-on technical role in the workforce management stream of a large enterprise transformation. The organisation is replacing its HR and payroll systems, and workforce management sits right in the middle of it: time, attendance and rostering data has to flow cleanly into the new platforms from day one.

The job is to make the WFM solution work technically. That means configuring it, building and fixing the interfaces around it, moving the data across and proving it through testing.

You will work alongside the business, the technology teams and the implementation partners. The workstream is already moving, so the brief is to add technical depth rather than to start from a blank page.

The Role You Could Play

• Configuration: Carry out the technical configuration of the workforce management platform to match how the business actually works.


• Integrations: Build and support the integrations between WFM and the surrounding HR, payroll and upstream systems.


• Interface Design: Design interfaces that hold up in production, and troubleshoot them quickly when they do not.


• Data Migration: Move data out of the legacy environment and into the new one, accurately and with a clear audit trail.


• Testing: Support testing through each phase, and work defects back to a root cause rather than a workaround.


• Collaboration: Work across several delivery teams at once, keeping business, technology and partner teams aligned.

What You Will Bring

Platform

• ADP Workforce Software (ADP WFS) experience is highly preferred.


• Strong UKG / Kronos Workforce Management experience will also be considered.

Technical Depth

• Hands-on WFM technical configuration and integration work, done yourself rather than overseen.


• Interface design and troubleshooting across connected systems.


• Data migration and testing support on live programmes.

Delivery Background

• Experience on enterprise-scale WFM implementations, with the complexity that comes with them.


• Strong stakeholder management, and the ability to work across multiple delivery teams at once.

What This Role Is Not

Stated directly, because it saves time on both sides.

• Not a functional or business analysis role. Functional profiles have not been the right fit.


• Not a payroll processing or administration role.


• Not a project or delivery management role.

RONIN's View

The brief is purely technical. The strongest candidates will be able to talk about integrations, configuration, data migration and testing from first-hand experience on large implementations.

The platform preference is for ADP Workforce Software specifically, rather than ADP payroll experience in general. It is a small pool, which is why strong UKG / Kronos backgrounds are also being considered.
