Position: Night Shift Electrician
Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Shift: Night Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
 
Job Description: As a Night Shift Electrician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. You will work during the night shift, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment and systems to minimize downtime and support our production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment during the night shift.
2. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and provide timely repairs.
4. Install, configure, and calibrate new electrical equipment and components.
5. Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to support overall plant operations.
6. Follow safety protocols, standards, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
7. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
8. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for enhancing electrical systems and processes.
9. Assist in training and mentoring junior electricians when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Electrical trade qualification and relevant certifications.
• Proficiency in electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
• Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Good manual dexterity for intricate electrical work.
