About the Role


The successful applicant will carry a varied acute caseload encompassing medical and surgical wards to support clinical demand across the hospital. There are opportunities for collaborative teamwork including participation in daily multidisciplinary discharge planning meetings. The role will support the learning and development of junior occupational therapy staff, Allied Health Assistants, and Occupational Therapy undergraduate students. The role includes a 1:2 weekend shift requirement. 


 



Key Responsibilities 




  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based allied health care through independent management of a clinical caseload and participation in multidisciplinary assessment, treatment and review

  • Contribute to service development and improvement by supporting clinical policy implementation, data and documentation quality, and innovative practice

  • Demonstrate leadership and collaboration through participation in committees, supervision of junior staff/students, and effective communication with stakeholders

  • Maintain professional accountability by adhering to registration, credentialing, legislative and organisational requirements, while engaging in continuous learning and reflective practice



 




What we’re looking for 




  • Current AHPRA registration (where applicable) with relevant clinical experience in line with Award/Agreement classification requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a clinical setting, with the capability to support and contribute to the development of others

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective, collaborative and culturally safe working relationships

  • Proficient in IT systems with a commitment to reflective practice, ongoing professional development and alignment with organisational values
