Job Description - Office Manager / Book Keeper

Position Overview

EDF Purview is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Office Manager / Bookkeeper to manage office operations and oversee financial tasks, including payroll, invoicing and accounting. 

You will be working with an unrivalled team of IT, cabling and fibre technicians who support local, national and international customers for their Australia deployments. 

This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, invoicing, purchase orders, processing payments, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring smooth office administration.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Bookkeeping & Financial Management: Liaison with the company’s accountant and manage tasks such as invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, financial record-keeping and end-of-month reporting.
  • Purchase Orders: Handle the full cycle of purchase orders, from creation to payment.
  • Customer Service Management Oversight: Ensure excellent service delivery by overseeing customer service interactions, addressing client inquiries, and maintaining satisfaction.
  • Administration: Be the office “Go To” person - Manage office operations such as travel, supplies, communication, and scheduling.
  • Communication & Multitasking: Communicate clearly with stakeholders and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • HR Support: Oversee leave management, and payroll, and assist with employee queries.

 

What qualifications you’ll need to be successful

The ideal candidate will have – 

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
  • Strong experience in administration, client/supplier management, and financial coordination.
  • Experience in managing invoices, purchase orders, tax filing and financial reporting.
  • Experience in HR support including payroll and leave management.
  • Ability to maintain office routines and support day-to-day office operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of organization
  • Strong multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships  

Preferred – 

  • IT industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • Experience with MYOB and Xero
