Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Front Office Manager to lead our dedicated team and ensure exceptional guest service at our renowned 4-star hotel in Darwin. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the office operation, from check-in and check-out to guest communication, inventory management and staff development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of front office staff, providing effective coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure that all front office functions are completed to a high standard. 
  • Ensure efficient and accurate revenue management practices, including value ad, quotes, inventory management and billing & banking procedures.
  • Develop and implement processes to maximize guest satisfaction and loyalty, fostering a welcoming and hospitable environment.
  • Be observant, address and troubleshoot guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving for positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Monitor security & quality protocols and procedures, upholding the safety and well-being of guests, staff and business.
  • Prepare reports, review and analyse data and records to ensure accuracy and identify trends and opportunities for improvement in hotel sales and front office operations.
  • Stay informed of market and industry trends and best practices in hospitality management.

Qualifications and Pre-requisites

  • Previous verifiable experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong front office skills and experience overseeing Room Division operations.
  • Excellent arithmetic, comprehension, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
  • English as first language or a superior English proficiency 
  • Professional style and personal presentation
  • Must be an Australian Resident or have a valid work visa

Other :

  • Salary range $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Permanent Full time position or Permanent part time (0.8 FTE) considered
  • Contract period of 3-4 Months commencing May would be considered
  • Available for immediate start or in the near future
