Meet a friendly and easyâgoing elderly gentleman living independently in his own home in Chittaway Bay.
He genuinely enjoys company and conversation and fondly remembers his time at Menâs Shed, where he especially loved woodturning, working with timber, and sharing stories and laughs with others. While heâs no longer attending, his love for craftsmanshipâand for good chatsâremains strong.

Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
