Operations Coordinator / Vessel Husbandry

About the role

You will be assisting the operations manager and team based in Brisbane along with setting processes for agency duties, liaising with subcontractors in Australia, reporting directly to the BBC Chartering Australia Operations Manager & Managing Director.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will require the following:

• Proven experience working in the shipping – particularly vessel agency industry 
• Demonstrate you have knowledge of shipping terms
• Have a valid MSIC  
• Ability to streamline and develop processes. 
• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously as part of a team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills
• Customer service focused attitude
• Ability to solve problems in a multi-task and fast paced environment
• Computer literate including, at minimum, an intermediate experience with MS Office
• Hold a current / valid driver’s license 
• Agree to a police background check
• Flexibility to work outside of normal hours as required from time to time
