Role Overview:

Due to business growth, Cater Care is seeking the services of a driven Hospitality professional to join our NSW team as an Operations Manager!

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing operations across multiple sites within the aged care and education sectors. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with the relevant Food Authority Legislation, Aged care or Education Accreditation processes, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. You'll be a key driver in achieving budget targets through effective cost management, team leadership, and client relationship development.

The role will require you to come to our Parramatta office as a minimum once a week. We currently have sites across Sydney, to Newcastle and Wollongong and you will be tasked with managing 6 to 8 sites (with additional travel as required).

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Attributes required for the position:

  • Experience and understanding of the relevant Food Authority Legislation and Aged Care or Education Accreditation processes
  • Humble, down to earth, able to use initiative & demonstration of leadership skills
  • Developing and maintaining strong and effective client relationships.
  • Achievement of budgeting through goods & labour
  • A strong Workplace Health and Safety and Compliance focus
  • Managing staff turnover and effective recruitment
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Travel required - Car allowance included in the salary package.

The Ideal Applicant will have:

  • Trade Certificate in Commercial Cookery or similar Hospitality qualifications
  • Experience in multi-site management in the Aged care or Education sectors
  • Previous experience in contract catering, managing events and/or corporate hospitality industries
  • The ability to lead, motivate, direct teams and work in time-sensitive environment
  • A strong understanding of budgeting, rostering and cost management
  • Professionalism and accountability along with personal values aligned with Care, Pride and Community
  • Strong administration skills and handling of paperwork
