About the Role: 

Envirobank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager based in Melbourne, Victoria for this national role, to oversee our depot network across Australia. This hands-on role is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations, supporting, and developing depot managers, and improving overall efficiency. You will work closely with Senior Team Leaders to convert strategy into action, making a high impact within our growth-oriented business.

The Role:

• Collaborate with managers to prioritise key initiatives for the year, including resourcing and capability assessments.
• Set operational and financial performance standards with depot managers.
• Manage the operating rhythm to ensure important tasks take priority, including monthly depot WHS Performance Meetings.
• Troubleshoot problem areas across the depot network.
• Foster a positive, high-performing culture across the company.
• Lead the development and implementation of training programs to enhance depot management and growth.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, business growth, customer and technical support, equipment maintenance, parts sourcing, and inventory management.
• Provide technical solutions and answer questions from internal and external customers.
• Drive new growth by exploring new avenues in recycling.
• Manage and navigate fast and complex environments.
• Drive performance through people management and technology, creating innovative solutions.
• Communicate business strategy to staff and stakeholders.
• Build on the existing culture to maintain a great working environment.
• Sustain focus on key priorities and take ownership of business goals.

About You:

• Experience in supervising and developing staff.
• Ability to manage, support, and communicate with staff across multiple sites.
• Sound commercial and financial acumen with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Highly developed time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Strong written, verbal, numerical, and literacy skills.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Reporting skills.
• Extensive knowledge of WHS requirements in waste management and recycling operations.
• Ability and willingness to travel between multiple sites, as interstate travel will be required as part of this role.

Qualifications/Licenses:

Current Driver's License.
