Gunther Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to manage daily site and project operations and provide that essential link between our Director’s strategic goals and our dedicated crew on the ground. This role is the key to our daily success, ensuring we meet our targets, while fostering discipline and driving efficiency within our operations.

Responsibilities:

• -Take the helm of day-to-day operations, encompassing production, safety, resource management, personnel, plant materials, budgeting, and quality.
• -Enhance communication, proactively address field issues, and provide the crew with the guidance they need.
• -Build and empower our team, sharing valuable insights and experience.
• -Engage with stakeholders effectively, both internal and external, to resolve issues and maintain proper management.
• -Serve as an information conduit, allowing the business to focus on strategic, technical, and value-adding initiatives.
• -Expedite project execution, manage delays, and tackle issues head-on.

Skills Required:

• Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the civil industry, earthworks, machine operation, and commercial acumen.
• Budgetary Insight: The ability to connect every hour of personnel and machinery to the overall project budget.
• Leadership: Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Project Lifecycle Understanding : Recognition of project life cycles and the capacity to manage them effectively.
• Problem Solving: The ability to diagnose and solve problems, find alternatives and keep moving.
• Diverse Experience: Experience in both large corporate organizations and grassroots companies with a practical and analytical approach.
• Industry Expertise: Relevant industry experience, with a strong grasp of blue-collar tasks and project stages. A trade or operator background would benefit the role.
• Team Collaboration: Strong planning and team management skills, with the ability to engage with the crew and anticipate their needs.
