Operations Supervisor - Start Now

Location: Queanbeyan
Manager: Mobile Manager 
Status: Permanent 
Working Hours: You will be expected to work Monday to Friday, according to the hours dictated principally from the hours that the employees work; i.e. 7am- 4:30pm. You will be required to be on-call as as required and work beyond 4:30pm
where required. You will be required to work on weekends from time to time. Leave Entitlements: Annual Leave and Personal Leave 
Other Entitlements: Company Vehicle, Phone & Laptop. Progression plan put in place for successful candidate.

Key Duties

• Review each project in advance with Allocation Manager to ensure all processes are in place for projects to run smoothly.
• Visit occasional projects while crane operating on site to ensure crew and client are happy and performing well.  Examples PPE, Crane setup, Paperwork, Rigging Practices, Personnel phone use, pushing through with weather conditions. ETC.
• Assist with on-site complicated rigging projects.
• Compile lift studies in conjunction with Mobile Manager. 
• Ensure all cranes paperwork is present, current and tidy in each crane.
• Ensure logbooks are complete, clear, and handed into office for review.
• Monitor maintenance and servicing requirements, Liaise with Allocation Manager to book in maintenance.
• Review and ensure that each crane has appropriate rigging to complete jobs, in good condition, tested and tagged.
• Review and ensure yard rigging equipment complete, in good repair, tested and tagged and stored away neatly.
• Ensure yard space maximised, clean, neat and tidy.
• Ensure bulk fuel storage sufficiently full.
• Keep personnel office neat and tidy.
• Operate/dog cranes when required
• Inspect jobs as requested by Mobile Manager.
• Relief some Labour Manager & Mobile Manager duties as required.
• Be a team member in sourcing and procuring new customers.
• Client engagement and events as required. 
• Be flexible in working arrangements as crane schedules may vary.

Skills & Experience 

• Sound in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Intermediate Rigging
• 5+ Years of industry experience
• Crane Operators Ticket 
• Intermediate Rigging 
• White Card
• Asbestos Awareness & Silica Awareness
• Good communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills 
• Good organisational skills
