The Opportunity

Our Lysaght business is looking for a Operations Technician to join the Production Team based in Tamworth. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

Our Technicians play a vital role in our production environment. They are multi skilled & operate different types of machinery to create smarter solutions for our customers, while monitoring product quality, also pick & packing of orders for regular customer service, whilst remaining committed to their safety and that of the team.

Working Monday to Friday, you will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of our technician role allowing for future career development opportunities. 

What Will You Do?

This diverse role will offer you variety each day, providing you with scope to showcase your skills that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality of our products, you will be:

• operating a forklift, gantry cranes and processing machinery
• safely preloading and unloading our products to trucks
• safely pack and strap our steel products on site to create specific orders
• supporting the team with general tasks

Being a reliable and dedicated individual with a willingness to learn and develop yourself, you will also bring: 

• experience in a similar operating environment
• a willingness to undertake forklift training and obtain the relevant license
• a positive attitude and a desire to work in a role that offers career progression
• experience in working in a fast-paced environment
• commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
