Job Description - Operations Training & Development Manager

What you'll contribute to 
 
As the Operations Training & Development Manager, you will lead and develop a small team of training specialists who are dedicated to the design and delivery of best-in-class learning solutions to ensure the wider Operations team is competent and confident to deliver an exceptional customer experience at every opportunity.  
  
You will also play a pivotal role in the realisation of the TFA Operation’s learning strategy leading the development of training artefacts that are of the highest standards and are well-considered in line with adult learning principles, learning styles and TFA’s 70 | 20 | 10 learning philosophy.  
  
While you will enable the Operations Division to achieve its strategic objectives through continual upskilling and product knowledge reinforcement of all team members, from new starters to established team members, you consistently promote a culture of development, accountability and continuous improvement. 
 
How you'll make an impact 

  • You will lead and develop the Training and Development team 

  • Undertake ongoing development of team members to ensure they are continuing to improve their skills and knowledge 

  • Provide a high standard of new starter job-ready training through extensive planning and effective delivery 

  • Deliver technical training to ensure team members have a thorough understanding of procedures, systems and the skills and knowledge to be able to do their roles efficiently 

  • Prepare and review a blend of different training materials (face-to-face, self-initiated and eLearning).

  • Proactively prepare procedure documents and learning support documents 

  • Conduct an annual review of training procedures, with an ability to provide recommendations and feedback to improve the efficiency of the training process


Your attributes  

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced operations environment, with a strong capacity to be able to manage conflicting priorities simultaneously

  • Strong ability to provide tailored and structured recommendations to internal stakeholders to improve the efficiency of the training process

  • Demonstrated success in managing teams, whilst also contributing to operational tasks and meeting key deliverables

  • Strong passion for growing and developing a team who will support the overall vision of the company 

  • Robust understanding and experience in Instructional Design and Learning Needs Analysis, including experience in adult learning theory

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to consult with stakeholders across various levels of the business

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

  • Knowledge of the Financial Service Industry

  • Experience and skills in developing Articulate Storyline or similar software
