Oracle EBS Solution Architect for major utility transformation. 12-month contract, national candidates welcome Your new company A large, asset-intensive essential services organisation (based in Darwin with offices in Melbourne) is delivering a multi-year program to modernise its operating model, enterprise systems and core capabilities across finance, procurement, projects, asset management and workforce functions. The program is critical to meeting regulatory obligations, improving operational efficiency and enabling long-term service sustainability. They are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Functional Consultant / Solution Architect to play a key role in shaping and delivering the target-state ERP solution as part of this transformation. Your new role Reporting to the Solution Integrity and Design Lead, this role will provide end-to-end functional and solution architecture leadership across Oracle E-Business Suite.A major focus of the role is leading the transition of Procurement, Projects and Contract Management capabilities from IBM Maximo into Oracle EBS, ensuring business processes are transformed, integrated and optimised while maintaining operational continuity. Key responsibilities include:
Leading functional solution design across Oracle EBS Financials, Procurement, Projects, EPM and HRMS.
Translating complex business requirements into scalable, fit-for-purpose Oracle solutions.
Facilitating workshops to define current-state (including Maximo) and future-state processes.
Conducting fit-gap analysis between Maximo and Oracle EBS capabilities.
Designing and documenting target-state processes and solution architecture artefacts.
Defining integration patterns between Oracle EBS, Maximo and other enterprise platforms.
Supporting build, test, UAT, data migration and cutover activities.
Partnering with Change and Training teams to support solution walkthroughs, impacts and enablement.
Providing mentoring and knowledge transfer to uplift internal capability.
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive experience (5-7 years) delivering Oracle EBS implementations as a Functional Lead or Solution Architect (this is a key requirement)
Deep hands-on knowledge of Oracle EBS modules including Finance, Procurement, Projects and HRMS.
Proven experience working with IBM Maximo, particularly across procurement, projects or contract management.
Strong understanding of asset-intensive or utilities environments (highly regarded).
Experience across the full delivery life cycle, from design through to deployment.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to bridge business and technical teams.
Ability to travel to Darwin for one week every month (costs covered). Melbourne candidates will also need to be on-site at the Melbourne office 1 day per week.
