Job Details

About your service: We’re excited to be launching a brand-new Extend partnership at St Columba’s School, Ballarat, and look forward to welcoming children into our service from 2 March 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new service from day one and help shape a positive, engaging environment for children and families.

Position: Casual

Hourly Rate: $31 to $42 Per Hour + Super

In addition, earn an extra 15% above the award wage listed in this ad as part of the Worker Retention Payment Scheme making the actual wage $35.87 to $49.06 per hour plus super.

Role: 

• Before School Care 6:45 AM to 8:45 AM.
• After School Care: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
• Monday to Friday.
• Paid administrative time and regular training and development opportunities.

Your Impact: Key Responsibilities

As our OSHC Service Assistant you will:

• Create Awesome Experiences: Assist in delivering science experiments, sports tournaments, fun educational activities and creative arts that kids actually want to do!
• Safety First, Fun Always: Lead a safe, inclusive environment while every child feels like a rockstar. 
• Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks that keep the energy levels high.
• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OSHC programs.

What You Bring to the Family

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Certificate III in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!
• The Vibe: You’re warm, engaging, and have a "can-do" attitude.
• The Essentials: A valid Working With Children Check, Child Protection Training Certificate, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management (willingness to obtain).
