Job Description - [OZiHOUSE Group ] Operation Manager

OziHouse Group is a leading provider of student accommodation and support services in Melbourne, Victoria. Since 2014, we have been dedicated to helping students from around the world find comfortable, affordable housing and providing comprehensive support throughout their stay. Our offerings include OziVillage, OziHomestay, OziAuPair, and OziExperience, each tailored to enhance the student experience in Australia.

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager will oversee the general business operations of OziVillage and Homestay, ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery. This role involves managing daily operations, leading a team, enhancing customer experience, and implementing automation tools to streamline workflows and improve overall productivity.

 

 

Detailed Job Descriptions:

 

·  Operational Management:

  • Supervise daily operations at OziVillage and Homestay.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

·  Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage staff to foster a positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to improve staff skills and service quality.
  • Handle staff scheduling, task allocation, and performance evaluations.

·  Customer Experience:

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and feedback promptly.
  • Develop initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and engagement.

·  Automation and Workflow Improvement:

  • Identify areas for automation within business operations.
  • Implement and manage automation tools and software to streamline processes.
  • Train staff on the use of new automation systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of automation initiatives.

·  Financial Management:

  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
  • Monitor expenses and optimize resource allocation.
  • Analyze financial reports and recommend cost-saving measures.

·  Business Development:

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote OziHouse Group’s offerings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.

Conduct market research to stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the hospitality or accommodation sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using automation tools and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience with workflow automation software.
  • Knowledge of financial management and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards in the accommodation sector.
