Packaging Operator

We are looking for Operators to join the team at Bega in Morwell!

• Multiple roles available– Full time & Part time

• 12-hour shifts

The Role

Our Morwell site is located about 150km east of Melbourne, manufacturing a large range of products in yoghurt and dairy desserts including brands such as Farmers Union, Dairy Farmers and Yoplait. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week across 9 lines the site is highly automated and is the largest yoghurt facility in Australia. 

Do you have previous experience as a Food manufacturing Operator? We are looking for experienced operators that will ensure all functions are carried out in an effective, efficient and timely manner. Operators in this role may be required to change tasks throughout the Shift, including but not limited to: Pack & fill duties such as replenishment of filler & packaging stocks and keep work area and equipment clean.

We are recruiting for multiple positions:

• Permanent full-time– 12-hour shifts working on a rotating roster

• Permanent part time – 5 x 12-hour shifts across a fortnight roster

• One role in logistics – permanent full time – Forklift license required

Responsibilities

• Safe setup and operation of all filler lines and equipment

• Report all safety, quality and environmental incidents and issues

• Accurate completion and recording of all quality, testing, and production related documentation

• Work effectively and efficiently to reduce downtime

• Training staff and assisting with assessment as required

• Collaboration with Cross Functional teams

About you

• Previous experience in an operator role, (Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) background is desirable

• Comfortable using technology for production, safety, quality, and reporting

• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and eagerness to develop

• Good communication skills and ability to work and collaborate in a team

• Basic computer literacy skills

• Forklift license (required for Logistics role)
