Inspirations Paint is Australia's leading Paint Specialists Franchise Group, servicing both the retail and trade markets. We are growing and always on the lookout for high calibre individuals to join our store teams. 

A part time position working 30 hours per week is currently available at the Inspirations Paint East Maitland store for an enthusiastic Paint Sales Assistant. Relevant personal experience in home improvement projects or within the paint or hardware industries is an advantage.

The successful applicant would have basic paint knowledge and be genuinely interested in people and their projects, and in also providing an exceptional customer experience to both our retail and trade customers. 

The position is available for immediate start and will include ongoing industry leading training, Award wages and a uniform. Store hours are between 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8:00am - 1:00pm. The store is not open on Sundays or public holidays.

Responsibilities include:

• Following the “Inspirations Way” procedures
• Providing exceptional customer service to both retail and trade customers
• Tinting and mixing paint; colour advice and matching
• Paint and accessory deliveries as required
• Store presentation, stock management and housekeeping
• Workplace Health & Safety requirements.

Experience / Attributes

• A background in sales and/or customer service with a paint specialist or in a hardware environment an advantage
• Practical experience in home improvement projects desirable
• Experience with automotive and industrial paints
• Approachable, confident and energetic with a pleasant disposition and the ability to effectively deal with customer queries and/or customer complaints.
• Able to problem solve using advanced communication skills
• A willingness to learn and continuously improve
• Able to contribute and work in a small team environment
• Honest, reliable and punctual
• Basic computer skills
• Available to work weekends on a rotating roster
• This role involves some heavy lifting up to 20L.
