We're currently seeking a motivated Painter to join our growing team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise across residential, commercial, and maintenance projects, playing a vital role in delivering high-quality painting solutions. From preparing surfaces and applying coatings to conducting touch-ups and orchestrating full painting projects, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills and exceed our customers' expectations every step of the way.

What you’ll be doing day to day:

• High quality interior & exterior painting

• Minor plasterboard repairs (fixing & flushing) and defect rectification

• Preparation of all surfaces to be painted prior to commencing painting works (for example scraping, sanding, patching holes, patching cracks, cleaning surfaces, sealing gaps)

• Preparation of work area prior to commencement of painting works

• Preparing paints to required colours, colour matching to existing

• Application of paints, varnishes and/or stains to all required surfaces primarily by using brushes and rollers

• Cornice installation (desirable but not essential)

• Rendering/white set abilities (desirable but not essential)

• Minor carpentry repairs such as skirting replacement, window repairs etc (desirable but not essential)

• Manage overall customer experience from start to completion

• Work autonomously and run your own works

• Collaboration with the trades team

• Using your painting skills to support other trades within the Ken Hall team

About you:

• Trade qualification (painter) preferred

• Current SA Driver’s license

• White Card

• National Police Clearance

• DCSI clearance (preferred)

• Previous experience in residential and/or commercial painting maintenance

• Excellent problem solving and teamwork ability

• Great customer service skills

• Ability to work autonomously with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
