Paralegal

We are a boutique law firm based on the southside with extensive experience in Family Law.  We take pride on being results focused rather than billing focused. 

Having just relocated to a brand-new office space in Springwood, the firm is expanding and have an opportunity for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team.

The Role

We are seeking a well organised individual with extensive knowledge and understanding of family law procedures. You will provide support to the Principal who practices in both the private practice and also is an Independant Children's Lawyer. From time to time you will also provide overflow support to the other solicitors in the firm. The duties include:

• Day to day file management and organising of electronic files, ensuring all relevant documents and emails are collated, saved and appropriately maintained
• Liaising with clients to gather necessary information and provide support.
• Diary management, including court deadlines and time limitations.
• Drafting Subpoenas and reviewing material.
• Collating briefs for Court and Counsel. 
• Other general office tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Family Law Paralegal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organisation with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• A team player attitude.
• Experience with Legal Aid is desirable but not essential.
• Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Teams). 
• Proficiency in using Leap practice management software (optional but preferred)
