We have an exciting opportunity for a casual Paralegal to join our Commercial Insurance team in Brisbane working with Partner, Kiley Hodges.

About the team and the work

• The practice has a strong blue-chip client base with a particular focus on large and more complex litigated claims.
• The team manages a range of matters including construction, first party property insurance, D&O, policy coverage, professional indemnity and complex personal injury claims.
• This role has a focus on drafting articles and assisting the team with administrative tasks, with the opportunity to gain litigation experience by drafting and collating legal documents, preparing chronologies and summaries.
• You will have the opportunity to develop your communication skills by liaising with medical, expert and legal professionals and clients.
• You will be an integral part of a high-performing, collegiate and friendly team.

About you

• You will be in your 4th or 5th year of your law degree, with a minimum of 12 months left before graduating.
• Be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days or more per week on an ongoing basis.
• Previous Paralegal or Legal Administration experience preferred but not essential.
• An excellent communicator (both verbal and written).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Have a hard working and positive attitude.
