About the role:

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Pastoral and Spiritual Carer to join our team on a permanent part time basis. In this role you will be responsible for providing compassionate care which centres on a holistic approach that supports the individual needs of our patients, visitors and employees in our busy private hospital.

About Us:

At St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane, we specialise in healthcare for people with chronic, complex and multiple health needs. We have over 450 experienced and qualified medical, nursing, allied health and support staff working to deliver excellent care. We specialise in general medicine, geriatric medicine, pain management, palliative care and rehabilitation medicine. Our care also extends beyond our hospital walls, reaching out into our community, we provide medical and nursing care to people at home.

Things that work for us: 

• Bachelor of Theology or equivalent
• Ability to work on a permanent part time basis (15.2 hours per week)
• A member of the Spiritual Care Australia (desirable)
• Experienced in palliative care (desirable)
• Minimum of 5 years recent experience in a similar position
• Experienced working in a hospital or health care environment
• Completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
