About the role:


We’re currently looking for a friendly, well organised and patient focused Administration Officer to join our dynamic team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside. 

Working on a permanent part time basis (32 hours minimum per fortnight) at both our sessional suites located at North Lakes and St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside (Chermside), you will ensue a seamless and efficient patient journey providing exceptional service to our patients, specialists and visitors.  The role is a frontline position and will require you to have excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail to deliver our commitment to outstanding patient care.

About the hospital:

At St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside, we have over 1,000 dedicated and skilled staff who treat nearly 35,000 people a year, delivering safe and high-quality care to all our patients. Our hospital has 227 beds, 9 operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter laboratories, a 17-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Day Oncology Unit, Breast Health Centre, Endoscopy Unit, Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and a 24-hour, private emergency centre provided by Brisbane Northside Emergency.

  • Flexibility to integrate into a 24-hour roster, day/evening/night shifts is essential

  • Flexible availability to be able to work on a part time basis, supporting a good work-life balance

  • Flexibility to work at offsite locations at North Lakes and Chermside as well as the hospital site.

  • Excellent customer service skills with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Highly developed interpersonal, organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to prioritise workload and efficiently manage multiple tasks

  • High level of computer skills, including the Microsoft packages

  • Prior experience in a health care setting would be advantageous; including an understanding of funding and contract arrangements within a private hospital

  • Knowledge of WebPAS and the ability to use other patient management systems is desirable

  • Working knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
