We're seeking to expand our dedicated team of Patient Transport Officers to work primarily in our patient transport and event operations across metropolitan NSW, based out of our Wetherill Park station.
About the role
Medical Edge Australia is recruiting Patient Transport Officers holding a minimum of a Certificate III Non-Emergency Patient Transport or equivalent qualifications for routine patient transport operations in metropolitan Sydney on a casual basis. Successful candidates should expect to work at least a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
The Patient Transport Officer (PTO) routinely works with Registered Paramedics or Nurses to provide low and medium acuity transport for a range of patients with various needs. The PTO must have a sound understanding of clinical guidelines, licensing requirements and Medical Edge Australia policies and procedures.

The role is remunerated generously with super included on top of the hourly rate. The role is on a casual basis however full-time positions may soon be available for those that demonstrate alignment with our values and contribute positively to our culture.
Skills and experience
Medical Edge is committed to providing a safe workplace, applicants must have a strong safety focus and be able to complete ongoing dynamic risk assessments during their daily duties. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong customer focus. Applicants must be passionate about first aid and patient care, deliver consistently high standards of customer service to our clients and closely align with Medical Edge Australia's Vision, mission and values.
For consideration, applicants must have a Full Driver Licence and a certificate III in non-emergency patient transport or equivalent. Applicants holding the Certificate IV in Healthcare, Diploma of Nursing (EN), and Diploma of Paramedic Science are also encouraged to apply.
