About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Officer to join our Finance team.

The Payroll and Accounts Officer will play a key role in ensuring company wide payroll is processed accurately and on time across both Australia and New Zealand.

This varied role will also play a key role in assisting the Accounts Receivable function of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and processing of weekly and monthly payroll for both Australia and New Zealand
  • Following up and solving all payroll related queries / payroll administration
  • Ensure timesheets are submitted and processed accurately in time for pay runs
  • Setup of new employees within the payroll system
  • Maintenance of payroll records
  • Ensure all Government regulatory payments are paid in an accurate and timely manner, including Payroll Tax, PAYG, Superannuation and Portable LSL
  • Single Touch Payroll reporting
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Processing of all cheques, direct deposit and EFT payments in an accurate & timely manner
  • Addressing and resolving client’s account queries
  • Assist with the collection process
  • Reconciliation and creation of customer invoices
  • Assisting in the month-end process and reporting

 

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Australian & New Zealand payroll with a comprehensive understanding of payroll legislation and state-specific regulations
  • ELMO payroll software experience is highly desirable but not essential
  • A high attention to detail and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously as required but also have a cohesive attitude towards the team
