Job Description - Payroll Data Analytics Specialist

About out Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Payroll Data Analytics Specialist to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, based at our office in Mentone.


 


Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader APAC, this role sits within our Payroll team and plays a key part in supporting payroll operations through data, reporting and analysis. The role works across multiple systems and stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely payroll reporting, supporting Finance, HR and broader business requirements. 


 


You will work within a co-sourced payroll environment, partnering with internal teams and external providers to support payroll outcomes, with a strong focus on data integrity, reporting accuracy and continuous improvement.

What you will do

 



  • Support payroll operations through data analysis, reporting and administration across weekly and monthly payroll cycles

  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely payroll reporting, including earnings, leave, and workforce metrics to support Finance, HR and business decision making

  • Extract, consolidate and analyse payroll data from multiple systems to produce meaningful insights and reports for internal and global stakeholders

  • Assist with month-end activities, including reconciliations, deductions and payroll-related reporting requirements

  • Maintain data integrity across payroll systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency and confidentiality of employee information

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Payroll, Finance and HR to respond to reporting requests and support business needs

  • Work closely with external payroll providers within a co-sourced model to support payroll outcomes and resolve queries

  • Provide backup support for payroll processing during periods of leave or peak activity

  • Develop and enhance reporting tools, templates and processes, leveraging advanced Excel capabilities

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes, systems and reporting capabilities

About you

 



  • Experience in payroll, with exposure to payroll reporting, reconciliations and data analysis

  • Advanced Excel capability, including the ability to work with large data sets, build templates and automate reporting

  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity

  • Experience working across multiple systems (e.g. payroll, HRIS, time and attendance) and consolidating data from different sources

  • Experience with ADP (GlobalView or similar) is highly regarded

  • Exposure to systems such as UKG Dimensions and SuccessFactors will be advantageous

  • Ability to interpret payroll data and provide meaningful insights to support business decision making

  • Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across Payroll, Finance and HR

  • Experience working with external payroll providers or within a co-sourced payroll model is advantageous

  • Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment with competing priorities

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues

  • A collaborative approach, with a focus on building effective working relationships across teams
