The Riverina and Murray Joint Organisation (RAMJO) works extensively and collaboratively with our 11 member councils and our associate members, along with the wider NSW Joint Organisation network to deliver our Strategic Regional Priorities and advocate on behalf of RAMJO communities.

About the role

Working closely with the Executive Officer and our small team, RAMJO’s Payroll and Finance Officer is responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of RAMJO’s financial operations across RAMJO's payroll, operational and project management streams. 

Essential and Desirable Criteria

1. Qualification/Certification in a relevant field of Accounting and/or Finance
2. Demonstrated experience in the utilisation of the Xero accounting software package
3. Demonstrated experience in managing payroll, BAS and PAYG functions
4. A positive attitude with outstanding communication skills, coupled with high ethical standards and professionalism
5. Agility and adaptability to thrive in a changing environment
6. Demonstrated experience working within a team environment and ability to utilise initiative whilst working autonomously 
7. Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn with the ability to identify skills improvement

Desirable Criteria

1. NSW Local Government experience or demonstrable knowledge of Local Government functions across other jurisdictions.
