Job Description - Payroll Officer

Location: Southern Suburbs of Perth
Duration: 2–3 Months (Immediate Start)
Rate: $40–$45 per hour

Our client, a well-established business located in Perth’s southern suburbs, is seeking a part-time Payroll Officer to assist with their payroll function on a temporary basis.

The Opportunity: This role is perfect for an experienced payroll professional with strong Excel skills who thrives in a hands-on, manual payroll environment. The position is part-time (0.5 FTE) for a 2–3 month period and offers an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

Process end-to-end payroll on a fortnightly basis for employees.
Manage manual payroll calculations and ensure compliance with awards and regulations.
Maintain accurate employee records and address payroll queries.
Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.

About You:

Previous experience in payroll processing is essential.
Proficient in manual payroll systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables).
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Able to start immediately and commit to the 2–3 month duration.
