Job Description - Payroll Officer

The Company: Your new employer is a top 100 ASX-listed corporation with an annual turnover exceeding $1bn. They operate in every state across Australia and boast a dominant market share in an industry that never sleeps. They are looking for a full-time perm Payroll Officer to join their team.

The Role:

Calculating payroll, including standard deductions and taxes within tight deadlines.
Determining time worked from timesheets and verifying appropriate authorisations.
Verify and process appointments; calculate, process and check employee termination payments
Deliver timely and accurate payment of employee salaries
Provide assistance with interpretation of the legislation, agreements, policies and procedures to managers and employees
Ensure employee records and entitlements are accurate and up to date
Assist and/or review employee annual, long service, sick, family, study, personal, community and parental leave applications where required, to ensure all payroll leave transactions are compliant
Ensure the conditions of employment, and all related payroll policies and procedures are adhered to
Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of employee information is maintained at all times
Ensure accurate taxation deductions from employee salaries are made and paid to ATO within required legislative timeframes
Ensure accurate superannuation payments are deducted from employee’s salaries and are paid to the Superannuation clearing house within required legislative timeframes

The Candidate:

You’re a very friendly, bubbly and organized person. You've a passion for payroll and looking to learn more skills and broaden your exposure/experience. If you meet any of the criteria below, you're already ahead of the pack!

E2E payroll experience
SAP/Kronos knowledge will be highly regarded
Experience with a medium to high volume pay run
Intermediate excel skills e.g VLOOKUP's & Pivot tables

Opportunity:

Up to $90k+Super
Onsite Parking/Close to public transport
Available to start asap
