This role is intentionally open to two types of profiles...

• If you're earlier in your payroll career, you'll be supported with structured training to build into full ownership over time.
• If you're already experienced, you'll have the opportunity to step in and take ownership quickly, bringing confidence and structure to the function from day one.

This is not a highly layered corporate environment. You'll be in a hands-on, practical setting, working closely with finance and operations, where you can ask questions, learn quickly, and make an impact.

What You'll Do

You will support and progressively take ownership of the payroll function across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of weekly payroll.

You will manage weekly payroll Processing, including timesheet validation, pay adjustments, and processing across multiple entities and employee types. A key part of your role will be to support or own end-to-end payroll activities, including terminations, final pays, and payroll reporting.

You will also contribute to payroll reporting & reconciliations, assisting with management reports and ensuring data accuracy across systems. In addition, there will be minimal HR & payroll Administration support, including drafting employment contracts, processing variations, and handling general administrative tasks.

Furthermore, you will gain exposure to compliance & multi-entity payroll, working across different pay cycles, agreements, and systems within a business operating across Australia and New Zealand.

Who You Are

We are open to two profiles for this role, depending on your experience level.

You may be a developing payroll professional with 1-2 years' experience in payroll and accounts, looking to step into a role where you can build your capability and grow into end-to-end payroll.

Alternatively, you may be an experienced payroll officer, confident managing payroll processes and looking for a stable environment where you can take ownership and add value quickly.

Across both profiles, you will bring...

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work within a manual or semi-automated environment
• Confident communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the business
• Solid Excel skills and confidence working across multiple systems

Previous exposure to various payroll systems will be beneficial, but not essential.
