Payroll Officer - Growth-Minded Organization

Are you passionate about payroll processing and supporting team members? Salter Brothers Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our People and Payroll team, you'll play a pivotal role in processing all payrolls centrally for the group and providing essential support with payroll queries from both team members and leadership.

Salter Brothers Hospitality currently operates 16 retreat hotels and estates, over 20 restaurants and bars, 8 Spa Anise spas, and other wellness facilities. Additionally, we proudly manage the Spicers Scenic Rim Trail, one of Queensland's largest ecotourism ventures. This role will be primarily based at our Salter Brothers Hospitality Central Services, conveniently located in Fortitude Valley.

Reporting directly to the People and Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will:

• Process all payrolls centrally for the Salter Brothers Hospitality group; 
• Provide support and guidance on payroll queries from team members and leadership; 
• Ensure compliance with state and federal legislation related to tax, superannuation, long service leave, and National Employment Standards;
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail to maintain payroll accuracy;
• Participate in payroll-related projects as required.

Essential criteria required to be considered:

• Experience in a similar role; 
• Familiarity with NES and Award Interpretation; 
• Experience processing pays using Employment Hero preferred.
• Strong customer service experience; 
• Understanding of state and federal legislation related to payroll and employment; 
• Advanced computer skills; 
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
