Permanent Full Time with a monthly ADO or Part Time Job Share Available | Located in Ballarat with expectation to travel

About the Role

As a Consumer Peer Support Worker in the Youth Team, you will use your lived experience to build genuine connections and inspire hope for young people on their recovery journey. This role offers opportunities to develop peer work skills, contribute to a recovery-oriented service, and help shape youth-friendly supports. You will work alongside clinical and non-clinical staff while bringing a unique peer perspective that promotes choice, empowerment, and meaningful engagement.

Core Duties

• Provide one-to-one peer support to young people using lived experience and recovery principles.


• Build trusting relationships that promote hope, self-determination, and wellbeing.


• Support young people to identify goals, strengths, and pathways to recovery.


• Facilitate or co-facilitate peer groups, workshops, and engagement activities.


• Advocate for the voice and lived experience perspectives of young people within the service.


• Maintain accurate records and contribute to team discussions and service improvement activities.


• You must have a valid drivers licence to be successful as you will be required to travel within the Grampians region on a regular basis.
