Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity has arisen at Knox Grammar School senior campus for an experienced and engaging Administrator to join the People and Culture team on a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract. 

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the People and Culture team with HR practices and general HR administration 
  • Assist with preparing and issuing of letters and contracts and onboarding of new staff members
  • Undertake day to day administration to ensure staff are employed correctly and all associated documentation for employee files is at best practice
  • Provide effective, professional and timely communication with staff members and candidates
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, while gaining exposure to all points of the employee life cycle through daily operations activities
  • Provide a back up for the other People and Culture Administrators on the front desk and in recruitment when required

The successful candidate with be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working in an HR Administration role (ideally in a school or education setting)
  • Sound knowledge of current employment and workplace legislation and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team member to achieve goals
  • Proficiency using HRIS and Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
