Your new company A national professional services firm is looking for a People & Development Advisor to join their Canberra team. You'll join a professional, collaborative organisation with a well-established national HR team and a strong focus on team work and quality client service.
Your new role This is a hands-on HR generalist role with a strong emphasis on recruitment and talent acquisition. Supporting a local workforce of around 80 people and working closely with an interstate Chief People Officer, you'll act as a trusted point of contact for all local HR enquiries while also delivering recruitment activity end to end. This role is well suited to an early career HR professional looking to step up, or someone with strong recruitment experience seeking to move into a broader HR advisory role.
Key responsibilities:
Managing recruitment processes from start to finish, alongside a Recruitment Coordinator
Conducting interviews, strategic talent sourcing, and preparing business cases to support recruitment decisions
Leading the annual graduate and clerkship recruitment campaigns for the Canberra office
Supporting performance and remuneration review cycles, audits, and reporting
Providing practical HR advice to managers, partners, and staff
Contributing to national People & Development initiatives and improvement activities.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in recruitment, HR coordination, or a similar people-focused role
Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with a range of stakeholders, including senior executives
Organised, proactive approach with strong attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a national team
Curiosity and willingness to learn across the full HR lifecycle
