Job Description - People Experience Business Analyst
Senior HR Business Analyst | People Experience | Canberra | Baseline Your new company You'll be joining a Canberra-based organisation operating within a security-led environment, with a strong focus on people, capability uplift and continuous improvement. The organisation is investing in the way it delivers People & Culture services, with a particular emphasis on improving employee experience, process efficiency and the quality of people-related data to support better decision-making. Your new role As a Senior Business Analyst embedded within the People & Culture function, you will play a key role in analysing, mapping and improving people-related processes and employee experiences across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with P&C leaders, internal stakeholders and technical partners, you will take a discovery-led approach to understanding business needs before shaping practical, people-centred solutions. The role also has a strong data focus, supporting the accuracy, integrity and integration of HR information to enable meaningful reporting and insights. This is a senior individual contributor role, suited to someone who enjoys influence, stakeholder engagement and delivery rather than people management.
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within HR, People & Culture, shared services or a similar environment
Strong capability in process mapping, analysis and redesign, with a focus on user or employee experience
A discovery first, consulting style approach with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience working with data quality, reporting and system integration concepts, ideally across HR systems
The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a structured, security-conscious environment
Australian citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain or hold a Baseline security clearance
Practical experience and approach are key
