PERSONAL ASSISTANT ROLE – 6 MONTH CONTRACT (PARENTAL LEAVE COVER) WITH POTENTIAL TO EXTEND

The Opportunity

Bajara Plant Hire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Assistant to join our growing team. Working directly for the Managing Director, this role is integral to the success of our business and will play a leading role in the coordination and effectiveness of key administrative activity within our head office. The role will initially be offered on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential for permanent employment based on performance and future business need.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Administrative Support and Coordination (including diary management, responding to emails, phone calls, documentation for plant and vehicles etc.)
  • HR and People Admin Support (onboarding for new employees, HR documentation and employment contracts) 
  • Rostering and Travel Arrangements (for FIFO operators and Managing Director)
  • Reporting (End of Month and other ad hoc reporting)
  • Billing and Invoicing Admin Support 
  • Other ad hoc activity (website and IT requirements, capability statements and some marketing activities)

Required Skills, Experience and Attributes

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar Personal Assistant role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel and Teams)
  • Ability to work autonomously, proactively and demonstrate initiative in all aspects of the role
  • “Can do” attitude – problem solving skills, finding ways to navigate challenges
  • Demonstrate initiative – anticipate future steps and action proactively, ability to work autonomously 
  • Driven to close out tasks – see things through to completion, tick actions off the list
