POSITION VACANT 

 

Personal Assistant to Manager, Member Rights Centre 

Permanent Full-Time  

$107,657.00 - $119,643.00 per annum (commensurate with experience) + Superannuation + 12 RDOs  

+ 5 weeks annual leave + Christmas shutdown 

 

The New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA) in association with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation New South Wales Branch (ANMF NSW Branch) seeks a Personal Assistant to Manager to join our Member Rights Centre (MRC) team on a permanent full-time basis.  

 

The primary purpose of the role is to provide leader and administrative support to the Member Rights Centre (MRC) Manager and the wider MRC department. This includes organising and coordinating the administrative functions of the team, collation and submission of reports, briefings and related documents and continuous improvement of associated processes. 

 

The successful candidate will be a proactive, positive and organised personal assistant who will support the Manager in coordinating their daily activities, ensure smooth operations within the MRC and effective inter-departmental communication.  

 

Key accountabilities 

  1. Undertake executive administration tasks to support the Manager, such as diary management, preparing correspondence and scheduling, organising and prioritising meetings.  
  2. Organise and make operational arrangements for routine and ad-hoc meetings, such as drafting and communicating meeting agendas, collating and distributing meeting papers, recording attendance and arranging catering. 
  3. Screen telephone calls and written correspondence, redirecting enquiries to the relevant staff within the organisation where appropriate. 
  4. Review information and data to prepare briefing papers, reports and other documents for various internal groups, including the MRC team, senior leadership and committees. 
  5. Create and maintain records and databases, complying with record management processes across a range of systems to ensure information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible to relevant internal personnel. 
  6. Assist in the planning and booking of accommodation and travel 

 

Key considerations 

  1. Ability to manage competing priorities to tight deadlines, while providing consistently high-quality support. 
  2. Ability to handle a range of matters with discretion and maintain confidentiality when required. 
  3. Ability to respond proactively to changing circumstances and adjust plans and schedules accordingly. 
  4. Ability to develop and maintain strong, effective working relationships within the Association, the Executive Office, and other key NSWNMA key stakeholders and agencies. 
  5. Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher.
