About the role
As a Physiotherapist (Grade 2), Child and Family Health Services you will provide and develop physiotherapy service delivery in the designated clinical area, applying evidence based, informed, client centred care within a multi-disciplinary setting. You will provide neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment in preschool aged children and teaching, supervision, support and development of less experienced staff and undergraduate students. You will also manage designated portfolios and quality improvement projects within the expectations of the Barwon Health Strategic Plan and the Physiotherapy Business Plan.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality clinical care through independent caseload management, evidence-based assessment, treatment and review, working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and measuring consumer outcomes
Provide clinical leadership and support professional development through supervision of junior staff and students, participation in relevant committees and working groups, and contribution to clinical policies, projects and service improvements
Drive quality, safety and professional practice by contributing to continuous improvement, research and risk management activities, maintaining accurate documentation and data, and practising in accordance with AHPRA, professional and legislative requirements
What we’re looking for
Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist, with clinical experience and professional development relevant to the clinical area, and the ability to practise independently
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, contribute to multidisciplinary teams and support an inclusive, culturally safe environment
Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement, with strong IT skills, reflective practice and the ability to contribute to supervision, quality improvement, research and service development
