Reporting to the Site Operations and Maintenance Supervisor, the Lubricants Operator is responsible for performing day-to-day operational activities while supporting the Terminal Supervisor in the safe operation of the lubricants operation and to ensure efficient, reliable movement of lubricants. In this role you will be providing leadership of health, safety, security and environment. This is a full-time role (38 hours per week) with working days being Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Manage product receipts from containers into tanks.
• Conduct routine inspections of site equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Operate and monitor process equipment such as tanks, pipelines, pumps, truck loading equipment, instrumentation and PLC control systems.
• Support truck drivers with loading gantry activities including site inductions, maintaining product quality and solving any problems that arise.
• Communicate effectively with team members to plan the weeks activities and ensure they are completed safely and efficiently Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency response drills.
• Complete daily administrative tasks such as stock recording.
• Issue safe work permits to contractors to ensure maintenance work is conducted safely.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

On the job training will be provided to build your skills and develop competence over time. Full competence is typically achieved after six months, however, your competence will be verified on individual tasks as each skill is obtained.

Please note that pre-employment medical and health assessment is a requirement of the selection process. Furthermore, the position is subject to ongoing random medical, drug and alcohol assessments.
