Optimum Silos is an Australian owned family business that prides itself on supplying Australian made grain storage and handling solutions to the agriculture industry.
Our recently expanded business is seeking an experienced detail orientated Planning and Logistics Coordinator to join our family owned manufacturing business.
This is a full time position working Monday-Friday based - 38 hour week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
For the right candidate, this role offers the chance to contribute significantly to our ongoing growth and success by managing production and logistics in collaboration with company stakeholders.
- Procurement Activities: Administer procurement activities including sourcing of local providers, negotiating viable terms, raising vendor requests and requisitions, receipting goods inwards and order management.
- Production Order Creation: Generate production Orders upon customer order placements to allocate inventory onto production floor
- Create Electronic Schedules: Create and update production schedule inline with facility capabilities and customer requirements
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory in line with budgets and production requirements
- Quality: Monitor and act on the quality of all products manufactured
- Logistics & Warehouse: Coordinate the duties and activities of team members to implement dispatch plans in adherence to delivery schedules and procedures.
- Maximise Machine Uptimes: through forward planning, maintenance management and downtime data review.
- Safety: conduct audits, coordinate training in policies, procedures, safety standards and regulations to ensure warehouse and logistic activities comply
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 3 years experience in production, planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced load restraint training and understanding of legislative requirements.
- Skilled in procurement, stakeholder management and negotiation.
- Excellent planning and maintenance of schedules relation to production and production phases
- Experience with ERP System - (MYOB Advanced preferred)
