Job Description - Playground Maintenance Technician | Brisbane, QLD

Their thorough assessments adhere to Australian Standards, promptly providing detailed maintenance recommendations. With proactive routine inspections and quick resolution of serious issues, they prioritise children's safety and peace of mind for all stakeholders.



Play Force is seeking a Maintenance Technicians to join their growing team. They welcome candidates who are motivated to progress in their careers, willing to learn the business, and potentially grow into a leadership role. The Position…

The position being offered is a dynamic and autonomous role, providing variety where no work day is the same! The Maintenance Technician role will be responsible for servicing clients in the Brisbane area and surrounding regions (e.g. Gold Coast). Full training & induction will be provided to the successful candidate. 

 

Key responsibilities of this role include:



  • Performing maintenance and repairs on playgrounds and other recreational facilities.

  • Operating hand, powered and specialised tools.

  • Operating vehicles, trucks and small plant responsibly and safely.

  • Replenishing stocked materials and preparing tools before departure.

  • Maintaining work quality to meet client expectations, as well as minimising environmental disruption and community disturbance.

  • Communicating effectively with management, reporting daily activities, environmental issues, and improvement opportunities.

  • Maintaining accurate job records, including labour hours and materials.

  • Work effectively in a team environment, as well as having the ability to work autonomously and take direction.

  • Fostering positive relationships with team members, contractors, suppliers, and service providers.

 

Ideal Candidate Criteria…

The ideal candidate will have the following:



  • QLD Manual Driver’s Licence (mandatory)

  • Blue or White construction induction card (mandatory)

  • Positive Notice Blue Card – Paid Employment (mandatory; can be obtained when commencing the job)

  • 2 years of experience in a Maintenance role (mandatory)

  • MR or HR Licence (desirable)

  • LF Forklift Truck Licence (desirable)

  • Certificate III in Landscape Construction (desirable)

  • Relevant trade qualification (desirable)

  • Competent in written and verbal English communication

  • Competent in welding and similar tasks (desirable)

  • Playground related industry knowledge (desirable)

  • Good organisational skills and high attention to detail
