Porter/Valet

The Opportunity 

As a Porter/Valet, you will create exceptional first impressions by delivering warm, personalized service from arrival to departure. As a proud ambassador of the hotel, you will welcome guests, assist with luggage, provide valet parking, escort guests to their rooms, and ensure every arrival and departure is seamless.

Key Accountabilities 

• Welcome guests on arrival and departure with warm, professional, and personalised service. 


• Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner. 


• Assist guests with luggage delivery, collection, and storage. 


• Escort guests to their rooms and provide an introduction to hotel facilities and services. 


• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, ensuring exceptional service at every interaction. 


• Provide accurate information and recommendations about the hotel, local attractions, and transport options. 


• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel entrance, porte cochère, and lobby areas. 


• Coordinate effectively with Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures. 


• Handle guest belongings with care while maintaining confidentiality and security. 


• Adhere to all safety, security, and company policies, including safe driving practices and valet procedures. 


• Uphold Marriott and Luxury Collection brand standards in every guest interaction. 


• Support the Front Office team with additional operational duties as required.

Profile 

• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences. 


• Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, customer service, or valet role (preferred). 


• A current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence with confidence driving both automatic and manual vehicles (preferred). 


• Experience using the Opera Property Management System (PMS) is highly regarded. 


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 


• A professional, well-presented, and positive attitude. 


• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. 


• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to build positive relationships across departments. 


• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
