Title: Power BI Senior Engineer

Job Overview:

As a Power BI Senior Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using Power BI. This senior-level position requires extensive knowledge in data analytics, advanced reporting, and the ability to manage large-scale BI projects. The role involves strategic decision-making, team leadership, and high-level stakeholder interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic BI Development: Lead the strategic planning and execution of enterprise-level Power BI solutions. Ensure alignment with business goals and data governance policies.

Advanced Data Visualization and Reporting: Create sophisticated and interactive data visualizations and dashboards. Drive innovation in reporting techniques and data presentation.

Complex Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Conduct complex data analyses to extract high-value insights. Use advanced analytical techniques to influence business decisions.

Data Architecture and Modelling: Design and implement robust data architectures and models. Ensure efficient data flow and accessibility for analytics.

Lead and mentor teams of BI professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Stakeholder Management and Communication: Engage with senior stakeholders to define BI objectives and deliverables. Translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant discussions.

Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations in BI. Implement best practices in Power BI development and data analytics.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling. Familiarity with SQL and other database technologies.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret and analyse data effectively.

Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to present complex data in an understandable way.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under senior supervision.

Experience:

8 plus years of overall data warehousing and reporting experience

6+ years of extensive experience in Power BI development and data analytics, with a proven track record of successful BI project implementations.
