Job Description - Practice Manager Financial Planning
About the company: Our client is a large sized financial planning firm who has been in operation for over 13 years. They have offices located in the Brisbane CBD and the southern suburbs in the Gold Coast. They deliver high quality, professional advice to their client base, which ranges from medical and business professionals to families and wealth accumulators.
About the role: To keep up with the growth of the firm and the team in the Brisbane office, my client is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the team. This will include managing financial planning workflow, overseeing and performing admin tasks, implementing processes, while maintaining a high-quality client experience.
Duties: There are many duties and responsibilities in this role, ranging from operational management, performance reporting, people management, and financial management. Some key duties include:
Manage operational aspects of the Financial Planning functions, ensuring high levels of advice quality from all teams in the business
Assist with projects that relate to business improvements
Manage and oversee new staff onboarding, workflows, and systems via Xplan
Work in conjunction with the finance and accounting team to assist with operational efficiencies
Lead staff team meetings to discuss work in progress
Maintain a strong business and team culture
Skills & experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership position within Financial Planning operations
Formal qualifications, ideally within financial advice is advantageous
Strong understanding of the advice industry
Passionate about business improvement and development
Analytical and excellent problem solving skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage people
