It boasts much-loved riverfront parklands that are activated by retail,
events and world-renowned facilities that host around 14 million visitors a year.
The Role We are seeking a leader to oversee and coordinate the overall maintenance and asset management operations across the entire precinct. This role involves working with various corporate teams to manage major service contracts, develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans, and oversee both operational and capital projects. The goal is to ensure the precinct is maintained to a high standard and operates efficiently, with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, value, and compliance with statutory obligations.
The ideal Talent will adopt a holistic approach to the precinct, demonstrating expertise in both operational and maintenance strategy and planning. Your key responsibilities would be to;
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for operations and asset maintenance, ensuring alignment with the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Asset Management Plans (AMP).
- Lead and mentor a cohesive team of operational staff and major service providers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Monitor and enhance operational efficiency, accurately recording and reporting maintenance activities while managing major contracts with precision.
- Oversee the Parklands Services Agreement, using reports to inform future strategies, risk management, and budget decisions.
- Develop and manage annual budgets for operational and capital expenditures, ensuring financial efficiency and sustainability.
- Provide high-level operational advice to executive management, cultivating strong relationships through effective communication.
- Drive continuous operational improvement by identifying safety and training needs and implementing best practices in maintenance and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant plans, reports, and sustainability practices, aligning operations with the Corporation's Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Management Framework.
