About the role

Leaps & Bounds Preschool Pty Ltd is seeking a part-time Preschool Cook to join their team in Capel, WA 6271. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for the children at our preschool, ensuring their dietary needs are met in a safe and hygienic environment.

What you'll be doing

• Follow a  balanced, seasonal menu that has been developed to cater to the dietary requirements of the children
• Ensure all food preparation and storage meets relevant health and safety standards
• Manage food orders and inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels
• Foster a positive, collaborative relationship with the preschool staff and families
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Comply with all company policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in commercial catering or food preparation
• Experience working as a cook in an early childhood education setting
• Strong understanding of nutrition, food safety and preparation for young children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a busy, fast-paced environment
